Last week at our house....
Last week some time I was in my room getting ready for the day and I had left Emma and Olivia in the living room alone...I know big mistake.......SO, I started to hear Olivia cry a little. Now, Emma has been told over and over that she is not allowed to mess with the baby or touch her when she is crying. And picking her up is out of the question. Well, I didn't think she would really do anything, so I took my time getting in there. Why oh Why!?! As I walk into the room I see Emma kneeling in front of the bouncer with Olivia up on her shoulder. Olivia is quiet and Emma is patting her back, singing to her. My initial reaction was of course FEAR and also frustration that she didn't listen......BUT she was holding her the right way and was singing to her and she was smart enough not to try to walk or stand.......it was so cute! BUT that didnt' stop me from putting her in time-out and really fussing at her about picking up the baby. I know she was just being a good little sister....but I think she should stick to dolls for a while, or at least until she and Olivia get a little bigger. I know that somebody out there must have gone through something like this! Just wanted to share.

These are definitely times to watch out for. It's real scary to have a little baby and a 3 year old "helper" who wants so much to be a second mommy (because she's watched you). Prepare for more close calls!
Jessica is always trying to help Noah learn to walk! Talk about scary. She looks like she's going to trip over him at any moment. You're not the only one!
